| Pineland Learning Center Earns Re-Accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools VINELAND, NJ (January 21, 2009)—Pineland Learning Center, a private day-school providing individualized education for students from the South Jersey region, has been awarded re-accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Accreditation signifies that Pineland has engaged in a rigorous process of self-evaluation; has hosted an evaluation team of independently-appointed educators and has created an on-going Strategic Plan to move school development forward. Pineland was one of 60 schools honored by the Commission. “Middle States Accreditation is very important for our school to maintain and signifies that Pineland is a quality school in our region,” said Fred Eccleston, Executive Director of Pineland Learning Center. “The 18 month process involved the entire school community, including faculty, parents and students.” Middle States Accreditation standards reflect current research and best practices from throughout the education profession. During the term of accreditation, Pineland will engage in a Commission-directed series of reports and/or site visits to maintain the vigor of the accreditation process. Accreditation by the Middle States Commission is recognized around the world as an indication of trustworthiness, educational quality and a commitment to on-going school improvement. Middle States works with both public and private schools from New York State to the District of Columbia, in the US Caribbean and in various other locations around the globe and is the second-oldest regional accreditor in the United States. <<back |
