Mrs. Sarah Kazmi

My name is Sarah Kazmi and 2019-2020 school year is my second year with Pineland Learning Center.  I am currently working with elementary and middle school students ranging from 5th-8th grades.  Throughout my social work career I have worked with individuals of all ages (ranging from children to elderly in variety of settings such as adult day cares, women's shelter for domestic violence, charter, public and private schools).

I have travelled abraod to countries in Asia such as China, India, Pakistan, Japan where I taught and conducted group counseling for kids of dissimilar ages.  I like to use treatment modalities of Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Problem Solving Therapy and Family and Supportive Therapy.  I believe using theory into practice is crucial because it can increase client's sense of security.

I am a firm believer that anything can be achieved in life as long as effort is put into its place.  I enjoy working and communicating with children and their families of dissimilar cultural and social backgrounds and providing support and compassion for them so they can overcome obstacles.  I am also committed to helping individuals see beyond their potential and change things by drawing on their own strengths.

Hobbies:

My hobbies include traveling, cooking, spending time with my two little boys.
