All month students in Ms. Lamkin’s music classes have been delving into Hispanic Heritage. High Schoolers were introduced to Latin rhythms and percussion instruments, then they played in an ensemble inspired by what they’d learned.  Click here to listen!

During our Hispanic Heritage month culminating celebration, Elementary students and staff immersed themselves in Hispanic culture including music, games, and flavors. We sampled traditional food from La Favorita, a local deli and grocery, and our own Chef Dave demonstrated how to make home-made salsa, followed by a tasting, of course. Safety tip: be sure to wear gloves when working with jalapeño peppers…they’re HOT!
