Inspira Dietician Diana Wind and interns Diana and Dennis from Rowan University led an informative and lively nutrition assembly for all Pineland students and staff titled, “The Sweet Escape”.  The assembly included lots of engaging activities:

• an interactive visual lesson on the amounts of added sugar in popular beverages along with reading food nutrition labels
• a healthy habits jeopardy game 
• healthy food tastings: grilled pear and roasted squash, prepared by Pineland’s own kitchen staff
• an invitation and supplies to create a card for a local senior citizen with a message about healthy habits to be delivered for Thanksgiving
