Pi Day

How ‘bout a good old-fashioned pie-eating contest in honor of Pi Day?!! Ms. Mohan, HS math teacher, awarded winners after each fun-spirited homeroom contest. Ms. Mohan helps her students learn about the value of Pi. It’s roughly the number 3.14 and it represents the ratio between a circle’s circumference (the distance around the outside of a circle) and its diameter (the distance from one side to the other through its center). In March, specifically on 3/14, Pineland recognizes the importance of this concept after students have learned how to use Pi in calculations and measurements.
