Mrs. Sarah Harrison
Welcome! My name is Sarah Harrison, I am a member of Pineland Learning Center's clinical team. I recently changed my name, so some students know me as "Ms. K." I support students of various ages groups, ranging from kindergarten to our R.E.A.D.Y. Program. I attended Rowan University for my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology, and my master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
I have a diverse background working with individuals of all ages, in various settings (school, residential treatment, vocational day program, home consultation, etc.), and with different learning styles, many of whom exhibit problem behaviors. I am experienced with conducting FBAs and functional analyses. I am also experienced with developing individualized behavior plans for targeted behavior reduction and skill acquisition, along with the ongoing monitoring of these plans. I also have experience with crisis intervention, staff training, and completing various assessments (i.e. AFLS, VB-MAPP, ABAS, ABLLS, SNA, JCR, etc.).
I am committed to maximizing the potential of all learners while focusing on a collaborative team approach, providing individualized and function based behavioral treatment, remaining current and innovative with behavioral and educational technologies, and creating a learning environment where students develop the skills they need to maximize their independence.
Some of my hobbies outside of school include: spending time with family, running, yoga, gardening, volunteering with dog advocacy groups, birdwatching, hiking, home improvement projects, and cooking.
