If a parent or a guardian of a child is interested in exploring the possiblity of Pineland Learning Center as an option for placement, there are a few steps that need to be completed.
- The student must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- The student must be having a difficult time being successful in their current placement
- Discussions about student and the placement should occur between the parent and the district case manager
- the case manager may approve a tour of Pineland Learning Center for the parent
- the case manager and the parent discuss the possible placement and make a decision
- The case manager asks for placement to Pineland Learning Center
- Pineland Learning Center accepts the student referral
- A start date is decided on by district case manager and Pineland Learning Center
