• If a parent or a guardian of a child is interested in exploring the possiblity of Pineland Learning Center as an option for placement, there are a few steps that need to be completed:

     

    • The student must have an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
    • The student must be having a difficult time being successful in his/her current placement
    • Discussions about student and his/her placement should occur between the parent and the district case manager
    • The case manager may approve a tour of Pineland Learning Center for the parent
    • The case manager and the parent discuss the possible placement and make a decision
    • The case manager asks for placement to Pineland Learning Center
    • Pineland Learning Center accepts the student referral
    • A start date is decided on by district case manager and Pineland Learning Center
